In Nursery activities are set up so that the children can learn whilst they are 'playing'
At home you can help by talking about shapes, colours, counting, matching and sorting whenever the opportunity arises, during their play or everyday activities.
 
For instance: - setting the table
                        - shopping
                        - getting dressed
Also read as many books as you can to and with your child - you are welcome to borrow books from school.
