Mr Richard Lloyd is the Head Teacher of Alexandra School.

Alexandra School is a very happy, friendly and successful school. We measure our success in terms of the value we add to all of the people involved, whether they be our fantastic children, our supportive parents or the enthusiastic and talented staff. Every child at Alexandra matters to every member of the team of staff.
 
The school fosters an environment where everyone feels safe, secure and confident. Whilst we are very focussed on the academic education of the children, we acknowledge the profound importance and impact of physical, social, moral and spiritual development and as such we aim to provide a rounded school life catering for the needs of all students.
 
We believe that school must be fun, that learning should be an active process involving practical experiences based on real life. The school delivers activities based on the skills that children need to develop through their various stages of learning.
 
The modern facilities at the school are excellent. The school is set in attractive grounds and housed in a first class building. Within the school we are extremely well resourced, including very impressive Information technology resources throughout, to provide the children with everything they need. All our students need to bring is a positive ‘we can do' attitude.
 
Whenever possible the school looks to develop new interests by looking in new directions whether it be by studying other localities to develop concepts of global citizenship, by gaining ‘Eco School' status to develop understanding of sustainability or
by any means which will lead to positive outcomes for our young people.
 
Alexandra School is rightly proud of its development in recent years. The creation of this website is simply the next step in our evolution. I believe we are extremely well placed to continue to improve and to continue to offer all children a fantastic range of educational experiences that will give them the very best start in life.
